Welcome to SOL Space, the first decentralized Solana Cloud Storage Protocol currently being developed by the company WEB 3 PIONEERS SRL. By accessing or using our website or protocols, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the www.solspace.rent website, the SOL Space Protocol or the SOL Space Marketplace.
SOLRE token: A deflationary, Layer 2 token issued on the Solana blockchain with a max supply of 8 Billion tokens and 9 decimal places, currently owned and managed by the Company (defined below). SOLRE or $SOLRE is the ticker or symbol and the SOL Space token is the name of the token. The token is used to pay for renting cloud storage from other users and also as a governing token within the SOL Space ecosystem or DAO.
SOL Space Protocol: A decentralized, browser-based cloud storage marketplace operating as a decentralized application (dApp) or a browser extension. The "SOL Space Protocol" includes code and documentation for both the front-end interface and the "server", altogether forming a network "Node." Multiple Nodes interconnect computing devices using open-source internet and communication protocols to establish a decentralized network known as the "Service" (defined below).
Service: The decentralized Solana cloud storage network comprised of all participating "Users" who utilize the SOL Space Protocol. Users can both Buy / Rent In space from other Users or they can Sell / Rent Out available space on their own computers or smart devices to other Users. The SOL Space Protocol operates as a collective mutual agreement among Users to use the same decentralized storage protocol (web software) to connect and serve each other. The interface and underlying storage network are accessible through a web marketplace (the front-end part of the protocol), which will soon be available at www.solspace.rent/market. The storage of your data is done strictly on user devices that are participating in the storage network. The data is encrypted, fragmented, and copied on multiple user devices for redundancy and high availability. As we are developing a free marketplace and although we are doing our best to revolutionize decentralized cloud storage and innovate digital storage in general, the Company is not responsible for the quality of data transfer, availability or any damage or liability for any incident where users rent or purchase storage from each other, the responsibility falls in the hands of each User and is exerted within their own Buyer and Seller specific agreements. Think of this as decentralized "eBay-like" infrastructure software but for digital storage instead of physical products.
User: Any individual or entity that accesses, hosts, or uses the Service and SOL Space Protocol, identified exclusively by a Solana blockchain public address (a base58 encoded public key) by default, additionally identifiable by voluntarily given extra information - whenever the User creates a "buy" or "sell" order (Rent in or Rent out).
Content: A web interface for accessing the Content. This interface is not part of the Service itself, as it cannot independently constitute the Service. It only facilitates access to the devices managed by the network of participants (Users) and provides the means to earn SOLRE token or pay for space with SOLRE token.
SOL Space Marketplace: A web interface for accessing the Content. This interface is not part of the Service itself, as it cannot independently constitute the Service. It only facilitates access to the devices managed by the network of participants (Users) and provides the means to earn SOLRE token or pay for space with SOLRE token.
Company: WEB 3 PIONEERS S.R.L. - a Romanian company currently developing the protocol. Unique Identification Code: 50281743 | EUID: ROONRC.J40/12567/2024
To use the Service and SOL Space Protocol, you must be at least 18 years old or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you are under 18 years old you can use the Service and SOL Space Protocol only with parental approval. By using the Service and SOL Space protocol, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
Users are not required to create an account to access the Service as they can authenticate only with a Solana account to the SOL Space Protocol that they manage themselves (in the User's custody). However, we may ask for your email, name, and other information in the case where you either subscribe to our emailing list or interact with our team for any reason. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during this process and to update such information as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your Solana account, including loss of private key or access to any wallet app that contains a private key. The Service, the SOL Space Protocol or the Company does not and will never have access to such sensitive and private information under any circumstance.
You agree to use the SOL Space Protocol, SOL Space Marketplace, and Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms of Use. You agree not to use the SOL Space Protocol, SOL Space Marketplace and Service:
• To upload, store, or share any Content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.
• To disrupt or interfere with the security or functionality of the Service, SOL Space Protocol, and SOL Space Marketplace.
• To attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, SOL Space Protocol, and SOL Space Marketplace unless authorized by our team for any security tests or by registering for any bug/exploit bounty programs.
Renting In: You practically select and pay with SOLRE token for offers listed on the SOL Space Protocol Marketplace and use that space for your needs. You retain ownership of all Content you upload to the Service. By uploading Content to the Service, you are responsible for ensuring that your Content complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
Renting Out: You earn SOLRE tokens by allowing other users to rent out (buy) your available space to store their Content and you get paid according to mutually agreed upon Seller/Buyer specific terms and depending on the type of renting and also to the performance of your devices and internet connection. Seller Security, Reputation, and Earning is the responsibility of the User that Rents Out. If you rent out your space, even though the data stored on your devices is encrypted with a key that only the User that rents the space owns and the files are stored inside the browser's permanent storage system, primarily through a technology called IndexedDb as a storage protocol plus some data transfer protocols, you are responsible for safekeeping the Content by controlling direct or indirect general access to your device (you need to safe keep data or files uploaded to your devices by Users). Do not allow the encrypted files to be intentionally and/or directly accessed by anyone, including you. You're basically responsible for preventing undesired access by unauthorized people. You're also responsible for uptime and data integrity. These criteria will affect your network stats, basically your network reputation and they will ultimately affect your SOLRE earning rate based on the "free market" phenomenon or trend. To discourage spamming the Service with new Solana accounts to bypass reputation degradation, we aim to ensure reputation is very hard to build, takes time, and votes from Users that used your service.
Data Disruption and Data Loss: The Company or the SOL Space Protocol or SOL Space team is not responsible for any data disruption or data loss by using the Service or the SOL Space Protocol or the SOL Space Marketplace or the www.solspace.rent website or any extensions or products we have developed. The User you rent space from is fully responsible for these things, meaning for security, uptime, bandwidth, reliability, integrity, and compliance. Generally, the Users you rent from are the safe keepers of your data. The User is anonymous by default but can offer more info for accountability and reputation. In this type of marketplace, good client relationships and reputation means great reviews and this is paramount and go a long way. Users can choose to give out more information and operate as transparent and as accountable as possible or they can remain fully anonymous and still provide great service. Although it's almost impossible to ultimately promise full-proof uninterruptible service in any type of digital storage system, the founders of the Company would like to one day be the first to claim such a feat by continuing to innovate in this space.
We the Company are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We do not use cookies and we do not collect any private or personal data for any purpose. The only time we directly require personal information like email, name or other common public information will be when you the User want to interact with our team or company for any reason, an action initiated by you the User.
The SOL Space Protocol will require a 1% SOLRE token fee for users who buy available free space in the SOL Space Marketplace, a fee that is automatically deducted upon purchase. The SOLRE income from this fee can be exchanged to fiat (Dollars, Euro, Pounds, Lei, etc) at any time by the Company or through partners or collaborators to maintain the SOL Space Protocol software and to continue innovating in the storage space or industry.
Transaction Escrow: When Users pay for renting digital storage space through the SOL Space Marketplace the SOLRE token goes to a Solana address managed by the Company for safe keeping and the SOL Space Protocol automatically and autonomously pays out the amount in fractions to Users every 30 days based on the performance of their devices and internet connection (this an example not a fixed rule). More details about this system are in the White Paper.
Escrow Responsibility: We the Company are initially responsible for handling escrow complaint cases to reach a reasonable resolution, but there is no guarantee or liability implied here for the Service, SOL Space Protocol, or the Company and there is no fixed time limit to reach a resolution for any of these cases. We the Company will do our best to ensure support as we develop and grow the protocol and any resolution deadline promise received from the Company or the SOL Space team is strictly theoretical and not a promise or guarantee. Technical, Financial, or General Support might be moved completely into the responsibility of each User that rents out digital space through the SOL Space Protocol. Communication for this support will be done using solutions yet to be determined. We plan to develop an integrated chat to make the whole experience very interactive and unified, but this is not a promise or guarantee at this moment.
All intellectual property rights: The SOL Space protocol, www.solspace.rent website, and its content, including pitch decks, white papers, and any code released, excluding User Content, are owned by the Company. Open-source libraries, code, or services used to enable the functionality of the SOL Space Protocol have their own copyrights and credit goes to their respective developers or licensors. You may not use, copy, or distribute any part of the SOL Space Protocol, www.solspace.rent website, pitch decks, white papers related to the protocol, or other materials connected to them without our express written permission, with the exception of Open Source licenses where you can use the code as written in the license.
We do not control the Service directly for it is just a collective User consensus to use the SOL Space Protocol, but we control the initial interface to it. We the Company cannot technically terminate or suspend your access to the Service network directly, but we can technically terminate access to the website www.solspace.rent and end your rights to use the SOL Space Protocol without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms of Use. Upon termination, your right to use the Service and SOL Space Protocol will immediately cease.
The Service and SOL Space Protocol are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service or SOL Space Protocol will be uninterrupted, error-free, with no data loss or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the SOLRE token, Service, the SOL Space Protocol and SOL Space Marketplace.
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the laws of Romania. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms of Use shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms of Use on our website. Your continued use of SOLRE token, the Service, the SOL Space Protocol, and SOL Space Marketplace after such changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Use.
The Company is committed to full compliance with MiCA regulations for all issued assets and released products or services. MiCA information or details can also be read on our website.
